Whisk your way downtown on Saturday, May 30 for Brews on Bedford, an array of home baked goodies, and a look inside of one of Stamford’s iconic historic churches!
Stop by the front lawn of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation for some home baked goodness from the kitchens of UUC congregants and friends. In keeping with the theme of Brews on Bedford at Latham Park, some of our bakers are experimenting with beer as a key ingredient – you won’t want to miss the beer-batter bread!
Then, if you’ve ever wondered what’s inside this stately historic church facing Latham Park, step in and explore the architectural and iconic decorative features of a rare remaining example of English Country Gothic architecture. Docents will be on hand to point out its features, including an original Johnson pipe organ and prized examples of Italian renaissance stained glass.
